I bought this on vinyl and had never heard it before. I learned of the wipers thanks to numerous covers by grunge bands of return of the rat and d 7. The first 3 wipers records are all brilliant but youth of america is the one that really stands out. While it was reissued on compact disc and available as a part of the wipers boxed set zeno this is the first time is this real.

The group s tight song structure and use of heavy distortion were hailed as extremely influential by numerous critics and musicians. Sounds very nice vinyl is thick and very quiet sleeve looks very well too.
While it contains the vibrance and intensity of punk rock it displays musicianship and creative production rarely found in the genre. Every song is completely different and completely excellent. I know alot of 70s and 80s punk but this is easily the best punk album i ve ever heard. I bought this on vinyl and had never heard it before.
While this album often goes underappreciated in their catalogue perhaps this silver coloured vinyl re issue will cause a re evaluation.
